The moist condition of the mouth and the left over food particles that get stuck in between the teeth and on the palate are in fact the hot bed of bacterial action. Most instances of bad breath are connected with these issues.
The bad breath that occurs soon after a prolonged session of sleep is not a medical condition. A good wash of the mouth will alleviate this situation. Bad breath may be also the result of infections inside the mouth. The common infections are for the gums and for the teeth. The teeth may develop cavities where bacterial activity can occur. This condition can be managed only with the help of a professional dental doctor.
Some times the cause of the infections may be somewhere in the respiratory tract. There may be infections of the throat, lungs or sinus. These infections need again professional help from a specialist. Indigestion can also cause bad breath in some people.
Apart from these there are bad breath authored by we ourselves. Some food material like onions, garlic, and certain types of fish cause bad breath. They are temporary in nature. Tobacco, either chewed or smoked may result in bad breath. These have adverse effect also on the gums.
